President - Hayley Short Hi, my name is Hayley and I am the President of UPSAC this year. I am currently studying for my Masters in Forensic Psychology. I only joined the club in 2011, however, I have obtained my Ocean Diver qualification with BSAC and now progressing to the Sports Diver qualification. Although I have only been with the club for a year I have loved every second, I honestly don't think there has been a dull moment. There is always something going on from getting out and going diving to socials and just meeting up with everyone and having a laugh. Everyone in the club is really friendly and enthusiastic and willing to go that extra mile to help out when they can. As President I am responsible for the overall running of the club. Ensuring the committee and the union are working together to keep everything moving smoothly. If anyone has any questions about anything (well dive club related) please come and talk to me, I'll be happy to help! Can't wait for another fantastic year of diving!!!!! |

Diving Officer - Stuart Dalziel Hi I'm Stu and I am the club's Diving Officer, this means that I am responsible for the safety of all club diving and boating activities and also ensuring that all of our diving is in line with the standards of our national governing body (BSAC). In addition to this I am also one of the club's many Open Water Instructors and actively take part in our packed training schedule. I can usually be found in the pub on a Tuesday evening please come and talk to me if you have any queries about club diving or safety. |

Secretary - Lloyd Quinn My role principally involves keeping members up to date on happenings within the club. You can expect to receive information from me on scheduled club socials at the Eldon Arms and at outside events, on a regular basis. Effectively the branch secretary is responsible for maintaining levels of communication between committee and members, this is what I aim to achieve. I’ll also be responsible for the organisation of committee meetings and the effective recording and publishing of minutes from assemblies the committee hold. Another of my responsibilities is fundraising, an area which I am quite familiar with. I’m eager to hear of any ideas members have, or any questions regarding fundraising you’d like to voice. Lastly, I am a Geoscience Student (Traditional Geology) at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. |

Treasurer - Felix Fennell Hi I'm Felix and I'm responsible for managing all the money in the club. I'm an Ocean diver / Sports diver in training and study BSc Geography. Though you probably won't need to talk to me in my capacity as Treasurer if you do have any questions please don't hesitate to ask - if I don't know the answer I can usually find someone that does. |

Membership Secretary - Josh Hilton-Grange Hi my name is Josh and I am a third year Marine Biology student and the UPSAC Membership Sec. I joined dive club in my first year at freshers' and I can honestly say some of the best times I've had at university have been with the dive club. Theres nothing like diving and a hobby that helps your studies is great too. Couple this with a great social atmoshphere and well that's UPSAC. I look after all the membership details of all the members as well as liasing with BSAC about membership. If you have any membership enquiries feel free to give me a shout. |

Advanced Training Officer - Louise Foster I've been diving for about 10 years, and I am one of UPSAC's Open Water Instructors. I studied Marine Biology at Portsmouth Uni and now work as a Marine Benthic Invertebrate Taxonomist, so I focus on all the squidgy life when I'm diving! As your advanced training officer it is my role to assist you in your training past Ocean Diver. I'm there to help organise advanced training dives, show you how to get onto Skill Development Courses and point you in the right direction if you want to progress through the instructor training programme. I'll also be organising/running some in-house training over the year, so if you have any requests or queries come and see me! |
